Harry Blalock, Founder

Born in Dothan, Alabama, J. Harry (“Harry) Blalock joined the US Marine Corps in 1966 and served until his honorable discharge in 1968. Harry has over 25 years of experience litigating Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) claims on behalf of injured workers.

VietnamHarry is also a veteran of over 40 years of trial work. His practice has included successful state and federal court litigation representing injured workers throughout the country. Harry’s unique perspective, hard work and drive has resulted in positive results for his many clients.

Harry serves on the management committee of the Blalock Firm.

Harry completed USMC Recruit Training at Paris Island with advanced individual training (AIT) at Camp Geiger at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. After training as an M60 machine gunner, he served with Lima Company of the 3/9 USMC Infantry Battalion in Vietnam. During the Battle of Dong Ha, Harry was wounded in action near Cam Lo. After MEDVAC and emergency lifesaving surgeries in a field hospital, Harry was evacuated to Japan for additional surgeries before returning for ongoing treatment at Military hospitals in Philadelphia and Pensacola, Florida. Harry received his honorable discharge while at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Pensacola and was awarded a Purple Heart and various campaign ribbons
