Camp Lejeune Claim Update: Progress and Priorities

Our team remains actively engaged in ongoing discussions with the Department of the Navy (DON) as we continue to advocate for your Camp Lejeune claims. Unfortunately, progress has been slow. To date, fewer than 500 claims have been resolved and paid through the Elective Option Settlement program.

As we’ve shared in previous updates, the DON is currently prioritizing claims involving the following conditions:

  • Kidney Cancer
  • Liver Cancer
  • Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
  • Leukemias
  • Bladder Cancer
  • Multiple Myeloma
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Kidney Disease / End Stage Renal Disease
  • Systemic Sclerosis / Systemic Scleroderma

Please note: these conditions are subject to a latency requirement established by the DON. Specifically:

“The earliest date of diagnosis or treatment must be no less than two (2) years after the claimant’s first exposure and no more than thirty-five (35) years after the claimant’s last exposure.”

As the DON continues reviewing eligible Elective Option claims, we’re focused on gathering and submitting complete documentation for each case to ensure it is ready for future review.
