As we prepare to celebrate the Fourth of July, we pause to pass along some important information relative to your Camp Lejeune claim.
Unfortunately, in almost all mass tort or injury cases, dishonest and unscrupulous scammers look for ways to cheat and steal from injured victims. Scammers are using “robo call” and “robot text” mass communications software to seek out and elicit responses from Camp Lejeune claimants. Many are simply making thousands of “cold calls” to certain demographic models.
We recently have been made aware that a female telephone scammer calling herself “Tony” has contacted two of our clients in an effort to obtain confidential personal information related to Camp Lejeune claims. “Tony” begins the calls by determining if the individual is a Camp Lejeune claimant and follows with a series of questions that attempt to elicit personal information and offers to “help reach a settlement” for the client. Both clients quickly recognized the scam for what it was, hung up and called us.
We are investigating and reporting these violations of the Telephone Consumers Protection Act. Please be vigilant and notify us if you receive unsolicited calls from unknown individuals concerning your claims. Inform the caller you are represented by counsel and hang up!

If you are unsure, hang up and call or email our office to confirm we are in fact making contact. If the call is from one of our staff, we will confirm, and that staff member will call back. Do not give out information to anyone you are not familiar with or have worked with in the past.
