Summer VetFest—PACT Act Open House

Were you exposed to toxic substances while serving in the Armed Forces? Are you taking advantage of your VA health care benefits and possible service compensation?

Learn more about your VA eligibility and VA services—Join the Birmingham VA for a Summer VetFest PACT Act Open House, July 28, at the Birmingham VA East Clinic, 7901 Crestwood Blvd., in Irondale, Alabama. Summer VetFest is planned from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Birmingham VA Health Care System joins all VA with a PACT Act Summer VetFest to inform Veterans, their families, and survivors about the PACT Act and encourage them to apply for the health care and benefits they have earned. The PACT Act is the biggest expansion of Veteran health care and benefits in generations.

Birmingham VA encourages all eligible Veterans and survivors to file a claim — or submit their intent to file a claim — for PACT Act-related benefits now. Veterans who do so by Aug. 9 may have their benefits, if granted, backdated to Aug. 10, 2022.
